We used to go swimming in the rain when we were teenagers. There was something magical about being in the water after dark, with the rain coming down and nowhere else we wanted to be. I felt beautiful in those moments. Free, a little fearless, completely myself.
Afterward, I’d pull on his hoodie, soft, oversized, and still smelling like him. I was never in a hurry to give it back. Midnight Moon came from that feeling: cool rain, salty skin, and warmth wrapped around you. A little goddess energy, with your hair still wet and someone else’s hoodie on.
